Earnest Wilson, Jr., 62, of Norway, died early Friday morning at his home. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 20th, at Gladfelter Funeral Home with the Rev. Dale Katcher officiating. Also, there will be a service by the Ottawa Loyal Order of the Moose. Burial of the cremains will be in Oakwood Memorial Park with full military honors. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Saturday morning until the time of the services. Mr. Wilson was born August 18, 1943, in Columbia, Kentucky, to Ernest Lee and Catherine (Whitlock) Wilson, Sr. He was married January 18, 1966, in Sandwich, to Mary Louise Day. He was in the U. S. Army from 1961 to 1963. He retired from Caterpillar in Aurora in 1998, and was a part-time custodian at the Ottawa Loyal Order of the Moose. He was a member of the Ottawa American Legion Post and the Loyal Order of the Moose. He is survived by his wife; a son, Earnest Alan Wilson of Ottawa; a daughter, Cathy (Erik) Hoffman of Marseilles; five grandchildren, Jordan and Jacob Wilson, Neil Battles, Kristin Falling and Debbie Mann; seven great grandchildren; a sister, Mary Edith (George) Claxton of Kentucky; and two half-brothers, Timothy Wilson of Lafayette, Ind. and William Wilson of Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial maybe directed to the donor's choice or to the Community Hospital of Ottawa Hospice.
