Donna J. (Chiavario) Fisk

Donna J. Fisk, age 72, of Seneca, passed away Thursday morning, September 7, 2017 at her home, surrounded by family.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fisk Family Farm located at 8245 Nettle Creek Road in Seneca with Jeff Thayer, Nathan Pedigo, and Peggy Jansen officiating.  Burial will follow in Stavanger Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. till service time on Saturday at the family farm.  Pallbearers will be Andy Bloemker, Ray Plesek, Daryl and Ryan Kirschenman, and Loren, Kellon, and Cameron Fisk.

Donna was born July 17, 1945 in Spring Valley, the daughter of George and Betty (Clemens) Chiavario.  She married Delbert Fisk June 15, 1963 in Norway, IL.  Surviving are her husband, Delbert, of Seneca; daughters, Becky (Glen) Bloemker of Sandwich, IL, Brenda (Doug) Plesek of Brooklyn, IA, Cheri Fisk of St. Charles, MO, Patsy (Kevin) Kirschenman of Menno, SD; son, Larry (Kyle) Fisk of Seneca, IL; brother, Eugene (Bonnie) Chiavario of Leland, IL; sister, Patricia (Ed) Smith of Antioch IL; a sister in-law, Joan Chiavario of Leland, IL; grandchildren, Andy (Elisa) Bloemker, Katie Bloemker, Laura (Baron) Hauck, Kim (Curtis) Creps, Ray and Kara Plesek, Daryl and Ryan Kirschenman, and Loren (Allison) Fisk, Kellon (Megan) Fisk, Cameron, and Annika Fisk; and 7 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Kenneth Chiavario.

Donna was a member of a non-denominational Christian home fellowship.  She chose to serve God in 1958 and was an example of faith until death.  Donna was a committed wife and enjoyed her role as Delbert’s helpmate with the farming.  She and Delbert considered their life together the best years of their lives.  Donna was a very devoted mother and poured her strength into motherhood.  She had a caring heart and was thoughtful of others.  Donna also enjoyed driving a school bus for 40 years and loved her bus children.
