Donna Jean Fieser

OGLESBY – Donna Jean Fieser, age 80, of Oglesby, passed away Friday, May 18, 2012 at Pleasantview in Ottawa.

Private graveside services will be held at Oakwood Memorial Park. Gladfelter Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Donna was born July 16, 1931 in Ottawa, Illinois, a daughter of Karl Henry and Edna Louise (Lewis) Ruyle. She married Roger R. Fieser at Ft. Monmouth, New Jersey. He preceded her in death July 14, 1998. Surviving are her daughters, Carole (Gary) Fay of Bloomington, IL and Sherry (Tom) Mally of Glen Ellyn, IL; two grandsons, Matthew Klouda of Wyoming and Nathan (Mae) Klouda of Florida; and one brother, Maynard Ruyle of New Mexico as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Karl W. and Keith Ruyle and one sister, Carol Louise Ruyle.

Donna was a member of First Family Catholic Church in Oglesby. She was an avid golfer and won numerous championships, in both Illinois and Arizona, where she once played in a tournament with actor-director Clint Eastwood. Donna loved to embroider and dearly loved to make quilts for “Quilts of Valor.” She and her husband loved Arizona and spending time in the mountains. She will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.
