Diane Marie DuFau, age 73, of Marseilles, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2022.

A private celebration of her life will be held. Gladfelter-Roetker Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Diane was born November 8, 1948 in Aurora, Illinois, a daughter of Walter Joseph and Shirley Anne (Ream) Genslinger. She is survived by her daughters, Susanne (David) Reitsma of Marseilles and Renee (Jerry) Moritz of Streator; her grandchildren, Tyler Bottomley, Dawson Hurr, Shealee Moritz, Zachary Moritz, Jaelyn Moritz, Alyssa (Ryan) Reitsma and Kevin (Jessica) Reitsma; and great-grandson Jacob Doll. Diane also leaves her sister, Pam Lein of Newark, IL; nieces, Bridget (Tim) Peterson and Shelly Perry; and her life-long friend Carolyn (Hans) Andrews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Diane was of the Catholic faith. She was a devoted single mother who was always fun to be with. She had a great work ethic and business sense working many different secretarial positions throughout her life, even up until recently, when her health would not permit. She always maintained a positive attitude with a smile on her face. Her family was all important to her. Diane LOVED to travel and leisure time would find her playing Bingo, dancing, bowling sewing and knitting.
