David A. West, age 47, of Ottawa, formerly of Oak Forest, Illinois, passed away Friday, July 16, 2010 at his residence. Memorial services will be held on Saturday 7/24/2010 10 AM at Zion Lutheran Church, 622 W Jefferson, Ottawa, IL 61350. Gladfelter Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. David was born December 27, 1962 in Oak Lawn, Illinois, a son of Robert and Mary (Hartig) West, Sr. He is survived by his loving father, Robert West, Sr.; brothers, Paul (Linda) West, Wayne (Ann) West, Robert (Lois) West, Jr. and Jeffrey West; sisters, Cheryl (Robert) Fisher, Renee (David) Boerst and Jennifer (Jeremy) Geeo. He was the loving uncle of Dale, Sharon, Lee, Vanessa, David, Donald, Samantha, Mat (Sara), Robert, Morgan, Bridget, Robert III, Ashley, Aurora, and Andrew. David also leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his mother and a brother, Keith.
