David L. Thorson, Jr., age 53, of Triumph, passed away Monday, October 2, 2023 at Loyola University Medical Center.

David was born May 24, 1970 in Sandwich, Illinois, a son of David and Betty (Watson) Thorson. He married Kimberly Wilson July 17, 1993 at Grand Ridge, Illinois. Surviving are his loving wife, Kim; his children Nicklaus Thorson and Leslee Thorson; a brother, Michael Thorson; sister, Angie Thorson; mother and step-father Betty and Jerry Walker; and mother-in-law, Kay Wilson. He was preceded in death by his father, David Thorson, Sr.; a sister in infancy Victoria Thorson; and his father-in-law, Joe Wilson, Sr.

David had been employed at Hendrix Town and Country in Leland for thirty years. He loved all sports, however soccer and football were considered to be his favorites. David enjoyed the great outdoors, camping and cooking on the grill. He enjoyed many excursions to Wisconsin with Kim. Time spent with family and friends is what he treasured most.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 6th at Gladfelter-Roetker Funeral Home in Ottawa.
