David R. Rimmele

SPRING VALLEY – David R. Rimmele, age 37, of Spring Valley, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Unity Point – Methodist in Peoria.

Cremation rites will be accorded.  A gathering to celebrate David’s life will be held at a later date.  Gladfelter Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

David was born September 18, 1979 in Ottawa, Illinois, a son of Dan and Char (Jacobs) Rimmele.  He is survived by his parents, Dan and Char of Deer Park; a brother, Chad Rimmele also of Deer Park; an aunt, Barbara Jacobs of Ottawa; and an uncle, Ron (Janet) Rimmele of Racine, WI.  David also leaves several cousins, friends and co-workers at St. Margaret’s Hospital in Spring Valley.  He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

David had been employed in the dietary department at St. Margaret’s Hospital.  He was a kind and caring young man and was always willing to assist someone in need.  David enjoyed music and fishing, but his main interest was in cooking and grilling.  Memorial contributions may be directed to the family for a memorial to be given to St. Margeret’s Hospital in David’s name.  To share a memory or light a candle, please visit gladfelterfuneralhome.com or Gladfelter Funeral Home on Facebook
