David A. Derbort

David A. Derbort, age 68, of Ottawa, passed away Thursday, December 14, 2023 at The Pavilion of Ottawa.

Private family services will be held. Gladfelter-Roetker Funeral Home is assisting the family.

David was born March 24, 1955 in Ottawa, Illinois, to Robert and Beverly (Heminover) Derbort. He married Neysa Barton in Ottawa. Surviving are his wife, Neysa; his son, Todd (Wendy) Derbort of Redlands, California; a brother, Bob Derbort of Decatur, Illinois; his beloved cat, Buster; and his "grand-dog" Boone. David was preceded in death by a son, Scott Derbort.

David was a retired employee of Silica Sand. He enjoyed fishing, camping and just being outdoors.
