David James Bogren

David James “Buck” Bogren, age 45, of Seneca, passed away Sunday, November 7, 2021 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 12th at Gladfelter-Roetker Funeral Home in Ottawa with Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery, Seneca. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Mike Perkins, Joe Kern, Cory McGeorge, Jeff Olson, Jerry Anderson and Michael Stafford. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Yodelis, Dalton Prince and Gene Olsen.

Buck was born November 13, 1975 in Ottawa, a son of David Paul and Cindy (Olsen) Bogren. He married Belinda Morgan October 27, 2018 in LasVegas, Nevada. Surviving are his wife, Belinda; parents, David and Cindy Bogren; his daughter, Lexi (Michael Stafford) Bogren; step-children, Amanda (Jeremy) Wheeler, Jesse Diaz and Jill Dunn; and step-grandchildren, Valerie Workman, Jaiden, Bentley, Hunter and Trapper Wheeler. He also leaves a sister, Michelle (Mike) Perkins; a nephew, Dalton Prince; and a niece, Jennifer (Steve) Yodelis. Buck was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James and Mabel Olsen; paternal grandparents, Richard and Ora Bogren and paternal foster grandparents, Emery and Clarissa Osmunson.

Buck had been a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Marseilles. He was a proud member of Plumbers Local 130 and served as plumbing inspector for Seneca and Marseilles. He was a member of the Seneca Planning Commission. He enjoyed country music, dancing, travel and NASCAR. What he treasured most was his loving family, particularly his kids.
