Darlene Miller, age 88, of Ottawa, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2008 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, Peoria. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday at Gladfelter Funeral Home with Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. Interment will follow in Peru City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Darlene was born February 27, 1920 in Dimmick Township, LaSalle County, Illinois, a daughter of Harvey and Alma (Wenzel) Hunley. She married George Miller in 1950, he preceded her in death June 6, 1997. She is survived by two brothers, Harvey Hunley, Jr. of Tavares, Florida and Mervin Hunley of Elburn, Illinois; a sister, Arlene May Preishner of Chicago. She also leaves a niece, Bonnie Marks as well as several other nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
