Cindy Renee Jeffries, age 57, of Ottawa, passed away Friday, March 21, 2014 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.
Memorial services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 25 th at Gladfelter Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Cindy was born February 15, 1957 in Ottawa, Illinois, a daughter of Francis “Diz” and Mildred (Ewing) Connerly. She married James “Trixy” Jeffries May 6, 1978 at St. Mary’s Church in Naplate. Cindy is survived by her husband, Jim of Ottawa; daughters, Jennifer (Eric) Wheeler and Stacy Jeffries all of Ottawa; sisters, Nancy (Robert) Lewis and Susan O’Connor all of Ottawa, and Debbie (Bill) Zitoun of LaSalle. She also leaves grandchildren, Hannah and Conner Wheeler and Cain and Trenton Kakara; and her mother-in-law, Marlene Jeffries all of Ottawa. She was preceded in death by her parents and father-in-law, Richard Jeffries.
Cindy treasured time spent with her family. She loved the outdoors. Leisure time would find her camping, fishing, horseback riding and going to car shows in their ’68 Dodge Charger. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family
