Christina Lynn (Smith) Martinez

Christina Lynn (Smith) Martinez, 31, of Ottawa, died Friday, June 27, 2008, at home with her loving family. Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with the Rev. Philip Halfacre officiating. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery. Visit-ation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at Gladfelter Funeral Home with Prayers at 3 p.m. and also visitation Tuesday form 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home before going to the church. Mrs. Martinez was born May 27, 1977, in Ottawa to Randy and Donna (Todd) Smith. She married Anthony Martinez September 23, 2006, in Ottawa at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. She graduated with the class of 1995 from Serena High School. She was a graduate with the class of 1999 from the University of Saint Francis in Joliet and a member of the Lady Fighting Saints Softball Team. She was a member of the University of Saint Francis alumni. She was employed by First Federal Savings Bank in Ottawa. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband; two step-sons, Michael and Christian Martinez both at home; a brother, Michael Smith of Wedron; her parents; a nephew, Todd Smith of Wedron; three loving aunts, Melody Todd and Toni Rosencrans both of Ottawa and Cathy (Patrick) Maloney of Rolling Meadows, Ill.; three cousins, Karly Rosencrans and Cole and Cody Ewers all of Ottawa. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Gene & Marilyn (Boseo) Todd; and a cousin, Kimberly Ewers. Pallbearers will be Michael and Christian Martinez, Michael Smith, William, Brian and Robert Boseo. Honorary pallbearers will be Rod Rosencrans, Patrick Maloney, David Feldman, Houston Davis, Todd Smith and Cole and Cody Ewers.
