OTTAWA – Chade Austin Mettille-Alfano, age 20, of Ottawa, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2012 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at St. Columba Church with Reverend David M. Kipfer celebrating. Entombment will follow in Valley Memorial Park in Spring Valley. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 4, 2012 with prayers at 3:45 p.m. at Gladfelter Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Peter Mautino, Nathan Alfano, Damiano Mazzola, Pietro Joseph Alfano, Procopio Alfano, Joe Alfano and Michael Mettille. Honorary pallbearers will be Norino Vitale, Pietro Catarinicchia, William Graves, Pietro Alfano, Spencer Smith and Pietro Vitale.
Chade was born February 6, 1992 in Ottawa, the son of Anthony Alfano and Gina Griglione Mettille. He is survived by his parents, Anthony and Debbie Alfano and Gina and Tony Mettille; his maternal grandparents, Cheryl and Jerry Mettille and Sharon and Bob Westman; his paternal grandparents, Pietro “Pete” and Phyllis Alfano; his brothers and sisters, Chloe Mettille, Joe, Peter, Nathan, Anthony, Nick, and Ariana; and his extensive family of numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal great grandparents.
Chade attended St. Columba Church. He was a pizza maker and thoroughly enjoyed working at Alfano’s Pizza. His favorite pastime was antagonizing his grandmother, Phyllis, to make his grandfather laugh! Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
