Catherine Lou Saager

Catherine Lou Saager, age 79, of Ottawa, passed away Sunday night at Ottawa Regional Hospital and Healthcare Center. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Gladfelter Funeral Home with Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Saager was born July 20, 1929 in Ottawa, a daughter of Donald "Scotty" and Ann (McLean) McDougall. She married Richard Ernest Saager February 22, 1958 in Ottawa. He preceded her in death February 19, 1998 as the result of a ladder accident. Catherine is survived by a long time friend, June Chevalia of Marseilles. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Donald and Alex McDougall. Catherine was educated at the old Columbus School and Ottawa High School. She had been employed at McClellen's ten cent store and The Churn. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Pet Project.
