OTTAWA – Carolyn Dawn Ruedel, age 55, of Ottawa, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2013 at her residence.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, December 1st at Bethel Lutheran Brethren Church with Pastor Tim Johnson Officiating. Gladfelter Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be directed to Bethel Lutheran Brethren Church.
Carolyn was born May 5, 1958 in Chicago, Illinois, a daughter of Joseph P. and Georgia M. (Nitzsche) Jentzen. She married Michael J. Ruedel April 14, 1984 at Villa Park, Illinois. Carolyn is survived by her husband, Michael of Ottawa; her children, William Ross Klomp, Jr. of Kentucky, Grace Ann Klomp address unknown and Charity Faith Klomp-Pitts of Lynnwood, Illinois. She also leaves grandchildren, DeAvion, Jazmine, Sapphire, Cheyenne and Zoe; and a brother, Jack (Lynn) Jentzen of Mt. Prospect, Illinois. Her parents preceded in death.
Carolyn was a member of Bethel Lutheran Brethren Church and had been employed by Clover Technology. She enjoyed working with computers and was interested in animal welfare. She dearly loved her family and had a deep and abiding love and faith in God.
