Byron Ray Goff, 44, of Ottawa, died Monday, October 30, 2006, at Community Hospital of Ottawa. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Gladfelter Funeral Home with the Rev. Gerald J. Meyer officiating. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery, Lincoln, Ill. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday with liturgical prayers at 4 p.m. Mr. Goff was born January 15, 1962, in Lincoln, Ill., to Ray and Myrtle (Knapp) Goff. He graduated from Lincoln Community High School. He was employed by Waste Management as a driver for 20 years. He was the road captain for the Starved Rock Harley-Davidson Hog Chapter No. 1121 in Ottawa. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. He is survived by a daughter, Krystal Goff of Streator; a son, Tyler Goff of Streator; his mother of Lincoln; his companion, Shannon Lowman of Ottawa; two brothers, Reynold (Phyllis) Goff of Chestnut, Ill. and Mike (Tammy) Goff of Wenona, Minn.; and a sister, Sharon (Terry) Baker of Lincoln. He was preceded in death by his father; by both his paternal and maternal grandparents. Pallbearers will be Darryn Downey, Bonnie Hiller, Tyler Goff, Don Sarles Gary Winters and Ron Wagner. Memorials may be directed to a trust fund for Tyler's education.
