Betty Lou Faupl, age 65, of Utica, passed away Friday, November 2, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Services will be 6:30 p.m. Tuesday November 6, 2012 at Gladfelter Funeral Home with Pastor Sherry Stevenson officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Private family interment will be at a later date.
Betty was born March 24, 1947 at Aurora, Illinois, a daughter of Fred and Ruby (Zinzer) Chapman. She married Karl Faupl May 27, 1978 in Aurora, Illinois. Surviving are her husband, Karl, of Utica; her children, David Hess of Utica, Doreen Hess of Ottawa, Angie (Aaron) Chiaventone and Adam (Michelle Pitstick) Faupl of Ottawa. She also leaves brothers, John (Erica) Chapman of Harding, Fred Chapman of Shingletown, California, Leo (Becky) Chapman of Shingletown, CA, Matt (Connie) Chapman of Serena; grandchildren, Julian and Tylynn Ramos and Makenna and Giana Chiaventone. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Patricia Schwartz..
Betty loved gardening, but most of all loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was always there to lend a helping hand.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family, SADS (Sudden Arrythmia Death Syndrome) in honor of Betty’s granddaughter or a charity of the donor’s choice.
