Armon Dean Tuntland

Armon Dean Tuntland, age 96, of Ottawa, passed away Monday, July 30, 2018, at Pleasant View.

Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, August 11, 2018, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Ottawa with Larry Knudtson, Minister officiating.  Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. till 4:00 p.m. at Kingdom Hall.  Gladfelter-Roetker Funeral Home and Cremation Services are assisting the family with arrangements.

Armon was born December 11, 1921 in Norway, IL, the son of Elmer and Vivian (Larson) Tuntland.  He married Lulu May “Bessie” Keith June 27, 1945.  She preceded him in death October 27, 2008.  Surviving are his children, Larry (Pat) Tuntland of Greenville TN, Duane (Sue) Tuntland of Ottawa, Cindy Sprowls of Ottawa, Karen (Doug) Strahl of Madisonville KY, Stephen Tuntland of Chile, South America, Kevin (Cecilia) Tuntland of Shabbona, and Bradley (Suzanne) Tuntland of Ottawa as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Armon was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses where he was active in the ministry.  He loved farming, playing UNO, and taking rides in the country.  He enjoyed going to Culvers.  He was devoted to his family and cherished his time spent with them and his dog, Snooky.
