Anthony "Flick" Scarber

MARSEILLES – Anthony “Flick” Scarber, 27, of Louisville, Kentucky, formerly of Marseilles, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2013 at his home.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 19, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Marseilles Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Bill Clark officiating.  Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday evening at Gladfelter Funeral Home.  Pallbearers will be Kyle Clink, Jeremy Scarber, Kyle Davis, Judd Wheeler, Christopher Scarber, Jake Hart, and Brad Boswell.

Anthony was born April 29, 1985 in Ottawa, the son of Tommy and Jana (Moats) Scarber.  He married Jennifer Clink November 15, 2011 in Louisville, KY.  Surviving are his wife, Jennifer, of Louisville; his parents, Tommy and Jana of Paducah, KY; his brother, Thomas Jerald “TJ” (Corrina) of Streator; his sister, Lisa Scarber, of Streator; his grandparents, Gerald “Bumpa” Moats of Aiken, SC and Gary “Opa” Boaz of Marseilles; his in-laws, Kyle Clink of Knoxville, TN, Gregg Clink of Port Huron, MI and Jayne Sykes of Knoxville, TN; and his niece and nephews, Megan, Christopher and Tristan.  He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandmothers, Shirley Moats and Christina “Oma” Boaz.

Anthony enjoyed fishing and camping and loved music.  Above all he was devoted to his family and cherished his time spent with them.  Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
