Anna Louise Williams

December 18, 1919 — October 26, 2008

Anna Louise Williams, age 88, of Gainesville, Missouri, formerly of Ottawa, passed away Sunday at Gainesville Health Care Center. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Gladfelter Funeral Home with the Rev. Polly Klimson officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Gladfelter Funeral Home with a Women of the Moose service at 5:30 pm. Mrs. Williams was born December 18, 1919, in Utica, to Harry and Pearl (Kniffin) Brady. She married Gilmore Berdell Williams on August 3, 1946, in Ottawa. He died August 16, 1986. She is a former employee of Blackley's Cleaners. She retired in January of 1987 from Burns Detective Agency as a security guard. After retirement she was a volunteer with Community Hospital of Ottawa Auxiliary. She was active in the TOPS and was a member of the Women of the Moose. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a former Sunday School teacher. She is survived by two daughters, Marilyn (Roy) Fulkerson of Isabella, Missouri and Vera Williams of Frankfort, Illinois; 12 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren; two sisters, Melva Hartshorn of Ottawa and Grace Bartel of Las Vegas, Nevada. She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Rita and Pearl Vernoy; one son, Stanley Vernoy; two brothers, Paul and Wendell Brady; and a sister Vivian Brady. Memorials may be directed to the family.
