OTTAWA - Angielee Walker Smith, 90, of Ottawa, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2014 at Ottawa Pavilion.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 23, 2014 at Gladfelter Funeral Home with Pastor Sherry Stevenson officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Oakwood Memorial Park.
Angielee was born May 10, 1924 in Bledsoe County, TN, the daughter of William Estel and Letitia (Burgess) Walker. She married Weirick W. Smith September 7, 1944 in Greenville, SC. He preceded her in death November 19, 2004. Angielee is survived by her children, Kay Ellen Smith and Roger Weirick Smith; one brother, William Hollis Walker; one sister, Janice M. Walker; three grandchildren, Austin, Vincent C. and Joshua D. Smith; one step granddaughter, Siana Deiter; great-grandchildren, Cary-Jean, Joshua Jr., Mathew and Allison; and a brother in-law, Clyde Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents; a great granddaughter, Alexis; and two brothers, Harold and Carl B. Walker.
Angielee attended Ottawa First Church of the Nazarene. She had been employed as a CNA at Pleasant View and Ottawa Care. In her leisure she enjoyed crocheting, sewing, reading, walking, and above all spending time with her family.
