Alice Pearl Shannon

Alice Pearl Shannon, age 82, of Sheridan, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2021 at the Ottawa Pavilion.

There will be no services or visitation.  Gladfelter-Roetker Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Alice was born June 4, 1939 in Smithville, Arkansas, a daughter of James Herbert and Geneva (Helems) Willett.  She married Curtis Lippold, and later married Howard Shannon September 23, 1960 in Montgomery, Illinois.  She his survived by Howard, her husband of 60 years; children, Gretchen (Wayne) Baumann of Pasco, WA, Dannie Lippold of Plano, IL, Rickie Shannon of Minocqua, WI and Teresa Campbell of Sheridan; grandchildren, Seth, Rachael, Miriam, Nancy, D.J., Larry, Jacob and Alison.  She also leaves sisters, Shirley Clayton of Yorkville, IL and Rebecca Hayes of Sandwich.  Alice was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy and Steven Willett.

Alice had been a member of Landmark Baptist Church in Oswego.  In her leisure, she enjoyed sewing, quilting, crochet and cross stitch.  She also enjoyed selling and showing craft items at different events.  The most precious time for Alice was that spent with her loving family who will miss her dearly.
