Alice L. Kucher, 93, of Ottawa, died Monday, May 15, at Community Hospital of Ottawa after a brief illness. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Gladfelter Funeral Home with the Rev. Polly Klimson of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Ottawa Avenue Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday. Mrs. Kucher was born to William K. and Amelia (Reed) Leverich on Sept. 2, 1912, in Ottawa. She graduated from Brown's Business College and was a bookkeeper for Wetherby Construction. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, The Reddick Mansion Association and the Genealogy Guild. Alice is survived by a loving family that she chose; Bill and Diane Stevenson, Mike and Angie Stevenson, Bill Stevenson, Katie and Joe Trupiano, Vicky and Joe Trupiano and Mike and Everett Nagle. She was a honorary great grandma to Jack and Bridget Stevenson, Joey and Will Trupiano and Trevor Fleming. She was preceded in death by a son, William Reed Kucher; and a brother, Sam. Memorials may be directed to the Reddick Library.
