Elizabeth Sue Daugherty

Elizabeth “Sue” (Heminover) Daugherty, age 72, of Ottawa, passed away Thursday, October 7, 2021 at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Ottawa.

Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 12th at Gladfelter-Roetker Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Mortenson officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Memorial Park at a later date. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Tuesday prior to services.

Sue was born December 29, 1948 in Ottawa, Illinois a daughter of Oscar and Elma (Carrier) Heminover. She married David Daugherty August 18, 1990 in Marseilles. He preceded in death November 16, 2005. Surviving are her sons, Wayne (Connie) Daugherty and Mike (Tonya) Daugherty all of Ottawa; grandchildren, Samantha (Jordan) Thompson, Seth and Sean Daugherty, Carley and Carter Baudino, Shay and Cora Daugherty. She also leaves a brother, Ray (Joyce) Heminover of Henryetta, OK; a sister, Diane (Richard) Alsvig of Ottawa; as well as a niece Melissa Ellie Heminover and a nephew Michael (Bonnie) Heminover.

Sue was a member of Bethel Lutheran Brethren Church. Her spare time would find her enjoying travel, sewing, knitting and doing calligraphy. She cherished time with her family and hanging out at breakfasts and lunches with her “Book Club” friends.
